Federal Education Tax:
This is the amount that the local taxpayers in Mars
have to make up for this year to fund Title 1 and IDEA (Individuals
with Disabilties Education Act) students for special education.
Congress continues to vote to authorize funding, but, only
appropriates 12-15% to states. Why do we allow our elected
congresspeople to vote for something they authorize, but,
truly do not appropriately fund?
